This does not include Labor PACs
This does not include Nonprofit & trade-association PACs (e.g. engineers, trial lawyers)
Principals of for-profit real estate development companies (Principal is defined as an Owner, Founder, CEO, and/or Senior Executive)
This does not include Principals of construction and architect/design companies (unless that company also acts as developer/owner of its projects)
Corporate lobbyists who are registered in the NYC
Prohibition includes registered lobbyists who work at for-profit law firms
Prohibition includes PACs of law firms with lobbying practices
This does not include contributions from nonprofit employees who are registered as lobbyists because they lobby the City or State on legislation relevant to the issue they are working on
Fossil-fuel executives, which includes utilities companies (e.g. Con Ed, National Grid)
This does not include contributions from executives of renewable energy
Investment managers who seek or do business with the City. The SEC directly prohibits investment managers from making contributions to elected officials who have a role in selecting them.
