Brad Lander Has Best Fundraising Period to Date & Is Ahead of Pace To Hit Spending Cap

NEW YORK, NY — Brad Lander’s newest fundraising filing marked his most successful fundraising period to date, raising at a faster clip than any other period so far. This filing puts Lander’s total campaign coffers at over $6.71 million, well above the pace needed to surpass the mayoral race’s $8.3 million spending cap.

“These results show that New Yorkers are hungry to end the Adams-Cuomo nightmare of endless scandal and corruption, and replace it with strong, honest leadership,” said Brad Lander. “I’m proud of our overwhelming grassroots support, and excited we’ll have all the resources needed to communicate our vision to deliver a safer, more affordable, better-run city for all New Yorkers.”

For this filing period Lander raised $227,867.09, of which $130,330 is eligible for 8x matching funds, generating a total raised this period of $1,270,507.09, adding to the January filing period’s $5.44 million. Notably, this was Lander’s fastest fundraising clip, given it was just a two month period. Lander’s total fundraising war chest now stands at over $6.71 million.

Lander also leads the mayoral pack in Democratic club endorsements, having increased his total in recent days with the Bay Ridge Democrats and JFREJ. Total political club endorsements also include Three Parks Democrats, Broadway Democrats, Village Independent Democrats, Upper West Side Action Group, Hell’s Kitchen Democrats, Independent Neighborhood Democrats, and Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats.

And Lander has received endorsements from UAW Region 9A, New York Progressive Action Network, and NYC Organization of Public Service Retirees, and support from the widest coalition of elected officials, including NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, State Senator Liz Krueger, State Senator Andrew Gounardes, Assemblymember Robert Carroll, and Councilmember Tiffany Cabán.
